This morning we hit the road for our trek to MS from NC. We'll be making a stop in Charlotte, NC to see one of the Swedish Embassies on American soil (ie, IKEA). I don't think I've mentioned our good news on this blog. But first let me give you some background...
If you've read our About Us post linked to the family picture on our sidebar, then you know about Isaiah's birth and subsequent stay in the hospital. During that stay, he was evaluated and qualified for Medicaid of Mississippi. We have been so thankful for that medical coverage, and we've been doing our best to keep it, since Isaiah isn't insurable any other way since we live overseas a good bit of the time.
We had been toying with the idea of buying land or a house in MS for some time, but we really didn't think that it would be possible for us to do anything of the sort. But along came a recession and a stimulus package for homebuyers! We prayed and prayed and prayed for wisdom, and a friend put us in touch with a wonderful realtor who arranged an amazing deal with us for a townhouse in MS. We are amazed and thankful and excited! Tomorrow we get to see our place for the first time, but we have been told by Thomas' parents that it is spotless!
Please pray for our travels down today and tomorrow. And please pray that I'll stay calm about getting everything unpacked and put away and not rush too much and get all in a flutter about things. I mean, not that I would have the tendency to do that, of course, but you never know. :)
I look forward to showing you pictures and to catching up on all the blogs again when we get internet, but until then, have a grand day!
